The Good
•Baylor: Wake Forest (9-4), *Northwestern (La.) State (4-7), Washington State (5-7), at Connecticut (9-4).

Bears one squad who could be excused for booking light.

•Colorado: #Colorado State (3-9), *Eastern Washington (9-4), West Virginia (11-2), at Florida State (7-6)

An archrival and two heavyweights.

•Oklahoma: *Chattanooga (2-9), Cincinnati (10-3), at Washington (4-9), TCU (8-5)

Cincy's been rising and the visit to Seattle is risky.

The Bad
•Kansas: Florida International (1-11), Louisiana Tech (5-7), at South Florida (9-4), * Sam Houston State (7-4).

Tough trip to the Sunshine State, but nothing else.

•Nebraska: Western Michigan (5-7), San Jose State (5-7), New Mexico State (4-9), Virginia Tech (11-3)

Total disinterest before the Hokies close out an all-Lincoln non-conference run.

•Oklahoma State: at Washington State (5-7), Houston (8-5), *Missouri State (6-5), Troy (8-4)

At least there's a good Pacific Northwest road trip for Cowboys fans.

•Texas: Florida Atlantic (8-5), at UTEP (4-8), Arkansas (8-5), Rice (3-9)

Renewed Hogs rivalry solid, but the rest is a mess.

•Texas A&M: Arkansas State (5-7), at New Mexico (9-4), Miami (5-7), Army (3-9)

Canes offer only point of interest, unless cadets draw their swords when Army arrives.

The Ugly
•Iowa State: *South Dakota State (7-4), Kent State (3-9), at Iowa (6-6), at UNLV (2-10)

Rivalry game with Hawkeyes can't save this sked.

•Kansas State: North Texas (2-10), *Montana State (6-5), at Louisville (6-6), Louisiana-Lafayette (3-9)

'Cats fled from home game with Fresno State

•Missouri: #Illinois (9-4), *Southeast Missouri State (3-8), Nevada (6-7), Buffalo (5-7)

Good opener, then name-the-mascot stretch.

•Texas Tech: *Eastern Washington (9-4), at Nevada (6-7), SMU (1-11), *Massachusetts (10-3)

Not one, but two I-AA foes.
