New housing law brings something for about everyone

A better chance for would-be first-time home buyers to get a mortgage and for struggling homeowners to keep their homes, more "sticks and bricks on the ground” as affordable houses and apartments, more stability for the secondary mortgage market.

There's something "for everyone” — that's how a national banking group described the landmark housing law signed by President Bush on Wednesday.
