Two women were ordered today to stand trial on assault and conspiracy charges in a Taser attack on a cheerleading sponsor at Putnam City North High School.

Cheerleading sponsor Bethany Lorenz was attacked with a stun gun April 18 in the school parking lot.

Julie Ann Bell and Leshawn Cathlene Fisher allegedly plotted the attack because the sponsor did not pick Bell’s 15-year-old daughter for the varsity cheerleading squad and had been picking on the girl as her biology teacher.

An Oklahoma County judge ruled there was probable cause to support the charges against Bell, 39, after a preliminary hearing this morning.

Fisher, 36, waived her right to a preliminary hearing.

Both women are free on bail pending their next court appearance, Sept. 17 before District Judge Ray Elliott. has disabled the comments for this article.
