The series will include eight OU games and OSU facing Mississippi in the 2004 Cotton Bowl. The games will be repeated. •New KAUT-43 football shows: Beginning Aug. 30, KAUT-43 (Cox 16) will begin airing two half-hour football shows, co-hosted by KFOR-4 sports director Bob Barry Jr. and FSN football commentator Gary Reasons and taped at OU studios. "Gridiron Saturday,” 10:30 a.m. Saturday, will concentrate on colleges; "Gridiron Sunday,” 10:30 a.m. Sunday, will focus on the NFL. •Versus expands football coverage: Versus (Cox 251) has expanded its college football package this season to 23 games, up from 19 games in 2007 and nine in 2006. Key games include Texas A&M at New Mexico, Sept. 6; USC at Stanford, Nov. 15; Oregon at Oregon State, Nov. 29; Yale at Harvard, Nov. 22. Ron Thulin, a Jox 930 sportscaster, is one of the play-by-play announcers. •‘The Verdict' on sports: "The Verdict,” co-hosted by Kent Meyers and Mick Cornett, will have three sports-related shows in a row — Berry Tramel, a columnist with The Oklahoman, on Sunday, OU athletic director Joe Castiglione on Aug. 31 and OU basketball coach Jeff Capel on Sept. 7. The show airs at 9 a.m. Sunday on Cox 7 with repeats throughout the week. •Short takes: Beginning Monday, ESPN Radio's "The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, 9 a.m. to noon weekdays, will be simulcast on ESPNU. ...
