•College football: Oklahoma State opens the season with a 2:30 p.m. appearance on FSN against Washington State at Seattle. Brian Davis and Tony Boselli, a former USC and NFL offensive tackle, will call the game. OU fans will have to fork out $29.95 to watch the Sooners face overmatched Tennessee-Chattanooga at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The best national games Saturday look to be No. 6 Missouri vs. No. 20 Illinois from St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN and No. 9 Clemson vs. No. 24 Alabama from Atlanta at 7 p.m. Saturday on KOCO-5. Other telecasts include Hawaii at No. 5 Florida at 11:30 a.m. on KSBI-52, No. 3 USC at Virginia at 2:30 p.m. on KOCO-5, Utah at Michigan at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2, Appalachian State at No. 7 LSU at 4 p.m. on ESPN and Washington at No. 21 Oregon at 9 p.m. on FSNSW.

Other weekend games include Kentucky at Louisville at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on ESPN, Colorado vs. Colorado State from Denver at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on FSNSW, Fresno State at Rutgers at 3 p.m. Monday on ESPN and No. 18 Tennessee at UCLA at 7 p.m. Monday on ESPN.
