No looking ahead
Some teams will use a bye week to get a head start on future opponents, but coach Mike Gundy says Oklahoma State is not in position to look ahead.

"We're not good enough to look past Troy,” Gundy said. "This'll be the best team we've played.”

Gundy said he's not concerned a bye week will halt momentum from a 3-0 start.

"I would like to think we can get it going and keep moving next week,” Gundy said. "We'll have a very quality opponent (Troy) coming in here. I don't think it will be an issue to get our guys to practice well and be ready to play in a couple of weeks.”

Gundy laid out the game plan for the off week before players are given the weekend off.

"We're going to have four good practices, lift heavy twice this week and catch up on school and do things that are important in the every-day life of a college student involved in football,” Gundy said. "It gives guys a chance to catch their breath a little bit. They've been in a pretty good grind for six weeks.”

•On the recruiting trail: While the players get the weekend off, the coaching staff will take advantage of the time to scout the high school ranks.
