Healthy backpack tips
• A backpack shouldn't weigh more than 15 percent of the wearer's body weight.

• Load heaviest items closest to the wearer's back.

• Arrange materials so they don't slide around.

• Carry only necessary items for the day.

• Use both shoulder straps.

• Adjust shoulder straps so the pack is snug against the back.

• Bottom of pack should rest in curve of lower back, not well below the waist.
