Sam Bradford: I knew he was special when ...
NORMAN — Few quarterbacks not named Tim Tebow have been as good as Sam Bradford so early in their college football careers.
After leading the nation in passing efficiency as a freshman, Bradford is vying to do the same as a sophomore. “As a freshman and sophomore, it's pretty phenomenal,” coach Bob Stoops said. “His poise and just how he executes. Look at those throws, those balls couldn't be much better.” Lately, the national media have begun to notice just how special a player Bradford is, placing him on the early short list of Heisman Trophy contenders. But many of those around him knew Bradford would be special long before this season.
