Tramel: OSU slow to start, but team still scored half a hundred
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State football's maturation was on full display Saturday night at Boone Pickens Stadium.
And not just on the scoreboard, which blared the good news of a 56-28 rout of Texas A&M. How's this for progress. The Cowboys hung half a hundred on one of the thorns in their flesh, even doubled up the Aggies, on an off night from the OSU offense. That's not the recipe for State, not with fourth-ranked Missouri awaiting next Saturday at Faurot Field. “We weren't very good in the first half offensively,” Mike Gundy admitted. Dez Bryant was good; two first-half touchdowns on his way to four, including a 78-yard punt return that will go down as one of the more memorable plays in recent OSU history.
