Oklahoma Media Notes: Extra work for Marv
Marv Albert, the announcer for the NBA Live video game, said he was forced to do 25 versions of the game for the Oklahoma City team because of the franchise’s tardiness in announcing Thunder as its nickname. Among the other nicknames Albert said he used: Roughnecks, Wildcats, Thunderbirds, Bison, Lightning, Pioneers, Stallions, Herd, Thundering Herd, Tornadoes and Sunset. "But Thunder kind of rolls right off your lips, doesn’t it?” Albert said.
