OU offense a scoring machine; defense lags

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Back when Kevin Wilson coordinated Northwestern's offense, the goal was to score as many points as possible as fast as possible.

That's because Northwestern's defense stunk. Wilson knew his offense would have to outscore the opponent.

That's the style Oklahoma is evolving toward, for better or worse.

Better for the offense. Worse for the defense.
