A breakdown of election results in Oklahoma

President: Republican John McCain carried Oklahoma. With 56 percent of precincts reporting, McCain had 67 percent of the vote. Democrat Barack Obama had 33 percent.

U.S. Senate: Incumbent Republican Jim Inhofe was declared the winner. With 56 percent of precincts reporting, Inhofe had 56 percent of the vote, defeating Democrat Andrew Rice (40 percent) and independent Stephen P. Wallace (4 percent).

U.S. House: All five incumbents were winning, Republican John Sullivan (District 1) with 61 percent of the vote, Democrat Dan Boren (District 2) with 71 percent, Republican Frank Lucas (District 3) with 71 percent, Republican Tom Cole (District. 4) with 63 percent and Republican Mary Fallin (District 5) with 65 percent.

Corporation Commission: With about half of precincts in, Republican incumbent Jeff Cloud was defeating Democrat Charles Gray with 59 percent of the vote, and Republican Dana Murphy had a slim lead over Democrat incumbent Jim Roth, 50.4 percent to 49.6 percent.

State Senate: Though returns were not complete, it appeared Republicans were taking control of the state Senate.

State questions: All four state questions were passing easily. They concern tax exemptions; hunting rights; and the sale of local wines.
