ALTUS -- Law enforcement officers raided a veterans' bingo hall and seized several computers, cash and other equipment they contend was used to support an illegal gambling operation.

District Attorney John Wampler says tips from the public led to Tuesday night's raid of the Vietnam Veterans Association Bingo Hall in Altus.

He says customers were able to purchase access codes from an employee and then use the computers to play slot-machine-style games on computers loaded with special software.

Wampler says his office hasn't determined whether the business owner will be charged.

An employee of the bingo hall said the business had no comment.
