NFL glitchFox left viewers of the Green Bay Packers-Tennessee Titans telecast on KOKH-25 Sunday afternoon hanging. Just as Titans kicker Rob Bironas was preparing to attempt a 47-yard field goal with 4 seconds left to win the game, the network abruptly cut away to commercial. Bironas’ attempt bounced off the upright, but the Titans went on to win 19-16 in overtime on his 41-yard field goal. Fox made the switch only in the home markets of teams in the late game, Dallas at New York Giants, and immediately went to a commercial before joining the game from Giants Stadium. A Fox spokesman said NFL rules mandate the shift of the home markets for the late game by 3:10 p.m. before kickoff, and the commercial was necessary to allow time for the network to switch satellite signals.
