Volunteers make blankets for kids in OKC

Volunteers with Project Linus made more than 100 blankets for children during their recent Make-A-Blanket Day.

The blankets will go to local charities, hospitals and state Department of Human Services offices. The group gathered Nov. 8 at The Stitching Post in Oklahoma City and spent the day making blankets to give away.

The nonprofit Project Linus donates new, handmade blankets to children. The central Oklahoma chapter includes members from Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland, McClain and Grady counties.
