1. South Beach
There’s much to see and do on South Beach, always the trendy Miami hot spot for everything from shopping and eating and partying to people watching amid an art deco landscape. The dining offers an around-the-world variety, with many restaurants offering outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and the views.
This zoo’s reputation is on the rise, with the tropical climate providing comfort for a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa. Miami Metrozoo was one of the first free-range zoos in the country, with the exhibits completely cageless. Another feature: animals that commonly live together in the wild are grouped together here.
3. Seaquariam
There are year-round outdoor marine shows featuring dolphins, killer whales and other sea creatures. There are also sea turtles, seals, sea lions and the Florida Manatee to observe in an educational and entertaining experience that can fill half a day.
4. Monkey Jungle
The slogan: "Where the humans are caged and the monkeys run wild.” Truly, the people walk along wired pathways, while many species of primates are on the loose all around on the 30-acre attraction, offering an insider’s view into their existence. Feeding the monkeys is not only allowed, but encouraged.
5. The Beach
Any trip to Miami demands at least a stroll along the beach. There’s miles and miles of welcoming beaches stretching up and down the coast, with plenty of options for differing experiences. Making it easy, right along South Beach – across from many of Miami’s most famous nightclubs – lies one of the most popular areas, which features a paved jogging path.

I would do some more research before putting this article out. I live in south florida (lived in Miami for 10 years, now in Ft Lauderdale) and i would disagree with these suggestions.
You left out where on South Beach? Lincoln Road? Hard Rock Cafe? Hollywood boardwalk area? Las Olas?
