CHICKASHA — Funeral arrangements have been made for a Chickasha preschooler who died Thursday evening after the car she was left alone in rolled down her driveway and hit a tree.

Four-year-old Emily Danielle Geddes died following the car crash outside her home in the 1300 block of S. 14 St.

The funeral for Emily, a prekindergarten student at Bill Wallace Early Childhood Center, will be held Tuesday night at Calvary Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Family members said they aren’t interested in talking with the media about the accident. Police and the Department of Human Services are investigating to see why the child was left unattended in the car and how the accident killed her.

An obituary sent to The Oklahoman lists Emily’s parents as Daniel Geddes and Jeanie Goss Malone. Police say they are investigating what Malone was doing at the time of the accident and why the car may have slipped out of park and rolled down the family’s driveway and into the tree.
