NOBLE — An adult human skull found by a Labrador puppy on Thursday is being studied by the medical examiner’s office.

The puppy was outside playing in eastern Noble when it brought the adult skull back to the family’s porch, said Cleveland County Sheriff’s Capt. Doug Blaine.

"There was no tissue on the skull, and it was covered and filled with mud,” Blaine said.

The sheriff’s department is reviewing its missing persons reports for the past several years and plans to consult with other agencies as it tries to identify the remains.
