STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s Terrel Harris took a basketball game that was a disinteresting Missouri blowout and made it extremely intense the last three minutes on Wednesday.

The Tigers, who ended up winning 97-95, led by as many as 20 points in the middle of the second half. But OSU chipped away at the lead, and with under three minutes to play, Harris stripped the ball from Marcus Denmon, raced down the court for the dunk and was intentionally fouled by Denmon.

After OSU inbounded, Harris tipped in an Obi Muonelo miss.

That cut Missouri’s lead to 94-89 with 2:44 to play, at a point when about half of the 8,514 people who attended the game had already left the building.

"When they got that four-point play, it was like a six-point swing,” Missouri’s Zaire Taylor said. "When I seen how pumped up he was and how he got pumped and the crowd got pumped, the momentum shifted right there.”

OSU point guard Byron Eaton said: "When Terrel got that dunk and hit the two free throws that gave us a spurt we needed ... we knew then we could definitely get back in the game.”

The rest of the game was a thriller, but in the end, it was OSU’s second heartbreaking loss in a row. OSU lost in overtime at Baylor on Saturday.

OSU coach Travis Ford said afterward that he was extremely disappointed with his team’s performance the first 35 minutes of the game. Box score
