• To make a donation to the Salvation Army for disaster services for first responders, mail a check payable to: The Salvation Army Disaster Response to P.O. Box 2095, Oklahoma City, OK 73101. Donations may also be made on the Internet at www.salvationarmyusa.org or by calling (800) 725-2769 and mentioning the AOK Division February

• To donate for disaster relief for the American Red Cross, mail checks payable to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Funds to 601 NE 6, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. Donations may also be made on the Internet at www.okc.redcross.org or by calling 228-9500. The central Oklahoma chapter of the Red Cross is helping those in Edmond and Lone Grove.


Girl Scouts-Western Oklahoma is collecting items for babies, including formula and diapers, as well as adult toiletries. The council is working with the American Red Cross chapter in Ardmore to help those in the Lone Grove and Ardmore areas. Donations may be dropped off at the council’s Oklahoma City service center, 121 NE 50.

• The American Red Cross opened shelter at Heritage Hall Center, 220 W Broadway St. in Ardmore.
