Dick Vitale talks about the OU Sooners

ESPN analyst Dick Vitale talks about the No. 2 Sooners and their prospects in what he expects will be a wide open NCAA Tournament. After placing Blake Griffin on his preseason All-American third team, Vitale recently jumped on the Griffin bandwagon:

→ "Blake Griffin would be my choice right now for national player of the year. He has been such a dominator.”

→ "Willie Warren certainly is right up in the hunt with Tyreke Evans (Memphis guard) for my Diaper Dandy of the year. It’s a toss-up. Unfortunately, Warren doesn’t get the national publicity, but he has been sensational for a freshman.”

→ "Jeff Capel has done a phenomenal job and is certainly one of the candidates for national coach of the year. I think what they have achieved has been fantastic, considering the fact that when Jeff came here after some of those players who committed, like Scottie Reynolds and Damian James, decided to go elsewhere.”

→ "All these teams are beatable (in the NCAA Tournament). It depends so much on timing, who you play, whether you making your 3s or not, if a key player like Griffin gets in foul trouble. There are so many factors that can play a part in winning. No matter what happens the rest of the year, nothing can take away from the fact that the Sooners are having a phenomenal year.”
