Mavs’ Terry: ‘That’s almost AAU basketball’
There was a lot of grumbling in the Dallas Mavericks’ locker room after the game. Guard Jason Terry was the most vocal.

"Give Oklahoma credit?” Terry said. "Give us no credit. You’re talking about not playing hard. That’s almost AAU basketball. Guys are going to have to look in the mirror and check themselves. We have to play hard, and we have to play together. I don’t care who you’re playing: the San Antonio Spurs or Oklahoma City Thunder.”

Nenad Krstic scored a season-high 26 points, three shy of his career high with the New Jersey Nets. Midway through the third quarter on Monday vs. Dallas, Krstic was 8-of-11 from the field to help the Thunder build a 23-point lead.

"As a team, we’re starting to show game in and game out that we can play with any team in the NBA,” Krstic said. "I, myself, am starting to feel more comfortable. I was getting open early, and my teammates found me.”

Oklahoma City’s Kyle Weaver scored in double figures for the third time in the last five games. Weaver finished with 18 points, including two big shots right after Dallas went on a 19-2 run to claw to within 83-77 with 5:56 remaining. Weaver scored eight points the final six minutes, highlighted by two clutch 3-pointers.

"I’ve been trying to play within the game,” Weaver said. "The way we’ve played at times, turning the ball over, I’m not necessarily trying to play safe but play smart. When they started coming back again like (Friday) night, the key was we had to get some stops.”

Damien Wilkins, who had played a combined 21 minutes the past 24 games, played almost that many Monday night, scoring seven points in 14 minutes.
