NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR: Denis Clemente, Kansas State

COACH OF THE YEAR: Bill Self, Kansas

First team

F - Blake Griffin, so., Oklahoma: The best player in the country. His NCAA days should be numbered.

G - Sherron Collins, jr., Kansas: Runner-up for Big 12 Player of the Year and will receive zero votes.

C - Cole Aldrich, so., Kansas: Has 18 double-doubles. Is arguably the best true post player in the nation.

F - DeMarre Carroll, sr., Missouri: The leader of Missouri's impressive turnaround from last season.

G - James Anderson, so., Oklahoma State: Impressive late surge enough to land him a first-team spot.

Second team

F - Craig Brackins, so., Iowa State: A solid first-team candidate, but lost out due to team's poor record.

F - Damion James, jr., Texas: Averaging a double-double, but has been plagued by inconsistent play.

G - Willie Warren, fr., Oklahoma: His late-season fade cost him a spot on the all-conference first team.

G - Byron Eaton, sr., Oklahoma State: He'll drive you crazy, but he'll also drive to the basket and create.

G - Denis Clemente, jr., Kansas State: Perhaps the fastest player in the country has spark KSU needed.
