What happened: Daillson, called “Dallas” by his family, was at home when their house caught fire. His father broke out of a window but could not reach his wife or Dallas, who were asleep inside. When firefighters arrived, they pulled Dallas and his mother from the flames. His mother survived, but was unconscious for two weeks. Dallas died at the hospital the next day from complications due to smoke inhalation.

Other: “He was born in the Philippines,” said Joey Young, his cousin. “Daillson was a good kid, very excited about life, and especially about being in America.”
