Frontier City postpones opening day

FROM STAFF REPORTS Published: March 27, 2009
Funseekers anxious to get on a ride at Frontier City will have to wait one more day.

A winter storm predicted to pass through Oklahoma City has delayed the park’s opening.

Amusement park officials announced Thursday they will open for the season Sunday at noon, instead of Saturday, as originally planned.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of snow throughout the day Saturday and the predicted high temperature is 39 degrees.

Wind gusts up to 33 miles per hour are likely.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high temperature near 64 degrees, better weather for parkgoers, officials said.
