Lawson tops all-tourney team
UNC’s Ty Lawson was named the regional’s most outstanding player. He was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Danny Green and Tyler Hansbrough, Syracuse’s Jonny Flynn and Griffin.

North Carolina fans turned out en masse Sunday, outnumbering OU fans 3-1 in making up the majority of the crowd of 17,025. Chapel Hill, N.C., is 730 miles from Memphis.

Two-point range
Poor shooting doomed the Sooners, just as it did in losses down the stretch of the regular season. OU made just two of 19 3-pointers and missed its first 15 attempts. The Sooners shot 62.8 percent from two-point range. By comparison, Carolina shot 56.7 percent from two-point range.
