After initially saying Monday morning that Xavier Henry and brother C.J. Henry would not visit Kentucky before making a decision, their father, Carl Henry, told Zagsblog.com that the pair would take a trip to Lexington next weekend.
Carl Henry had said over the weekend that a decision would come during the week but that might now be pushed back, if briefly. Xavier Henry, a standout guard on Putnam City’s Class 6A championship team and the No. 3 prospect in the country according to the ESPN U 100, is expected to choose between Kentucky and Kansas. C.J., who walked on last year at Memphis but missed the season with an injury, is expected to join Xavier wherever he chooses. It’s not clear if the NCAA would clear C.J. to play immediately, but Kentucky coach John Calipari told the family that he would appeal to the NCAA to allow C.J. to play immediately. Earlier this month, Xavier said finding a place where he could play with his brother was "80 percent” of determining where he would go to school. Xavier Henry was signed with Memphis before obtaining his release after Calipari left Memphis for Kentucky. The Henry brothers reportedly met with both Calipari and Kansas coach Bill Self in New York over the weekend, when Xavier Henry was in town for the Jordan Brand Classic.
