NORMAN — Oklahoma reserve offensive tackle Donald Stephenson turned himself in to police Tuesday after a municipal warrant was served over Stephenson’s initial failure to pay a Feb. 4 excessive speeding citation.

Stephenson didn't pay the ticket or appear before authorities to set a court date to resolve the ticket, prompting police to issue the warrant April 6, Norman police spokeswoman Jennifer Newell said.

Stephenson posted a $223 bond to settle the outstanding citation and the warrant, Newell said.

He is the second Sooner football player to be served with a municipal warrant in the last two weeks.

On April 13, OU tight end Jermaine Gresham was arrested for failing to pay a Feb. 2 seat-belt citation.
