Both OKC Memorial winners were running in first marathon

It only took three weeks for Catherine O’Dell to become the queen of Oklahoma City road races. And it only took one try for her to win the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon.

Running her first-ever marathon, the former University of Oklahoma track All-American cruised to a commanding victory Sunday, breaking the tape in three hours, 10 minutes, more than five minutes before the runner-up.
