* Guthrie — Historic first capital city of Oklahoma has a variety of nostalgic sites and annual events. There is the First Capital Trolley, Pollard Theatre, the Guthrie Scottish Rite Masonic Center, the State Capitol Publishing Museum, the National Four-String Banjo Hall of Fame Museum and much more.

* Stillwater — The home of Oklahoma State University also is home to world famous Eskimo Joe’s and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Museum. There are nearby Lake McMurtry, Sooner Lake and Lake Carl Blackwell, as well as outstanding golf courses and other activities.

* Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum — At 1714 Wrangler Rd. in Seminole. Children can touch all the exhibits, such as various career opportunities in the health field, and perform experiments. There also are games and challenges.

* Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art — At 1900 W MacArthur in Shawnee. One of the oldest museums in the state, this aft center has a permanent collection of Egyptian, Greek and Roman objects, as well as art from the Renaissance through the early 20th century.
