Sales tax revenue fallsSales tax revenue for the city of Tulsa continues to decline with a drop of 7.5 percent in June. The city received nearly $1.3 million less than in June last year. The city council is considering a budget for next year. Last week, Mayor Kathy Taylor presented $7.6 million in budget cuts for next fiscal year that include eight unpaid furlough days for city employees.

Bones linked to animalThe state medical examiner’s office has determined bone fragments found in Delaware County are not human. A tip to the Delaware County sheriff’s office in April sent investigators with rescue dogs to the Colcord area where they found bone fragments. District sets 4-day weekThe Sharon-Mutual Board of Education voted to hold classes four days a week in the spring. Sharon-Mutual Superintendent Emma Sidders said the schedule will allow the district to evaluate the four-day school week.
