OU football: San Antonio’s Torrea Peterson commits to Oklahoma

OU won a hotly contested recruiting battle Thursday night by landing a verbal commitment from defensive tackle Torrea Peterson, Rivals.com reported.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Peterson, who hails from San Antonio East Central High School, held offers from USC, Texas, Auburn, LSU and Nebraska, among a host of other schools.
