STILLWATER — Oklahoma State has sold about 31,500 season tickets, about 8,000 less than last year’s school-record total.
As of Friday, OSU had sold 31,534 season tickets, school officials said. The Cowboys have eight home games in 2009, including Texas, Missouri, Texas Tech and Georgia. This is also the first season in the renovated Boone Pickens Stadium.
Like the Bedlam ticket in 2008, the Cowboys’ Sept. 5 season opener against Georgia is a premium ticket. That means there will be no single-game ticket sales.
Season ticket prices for 2009 are set at $479. More information about purchasing season tickets is available online at www.okstate.com
or by phone at 1-877-255-4678.
Georgia fans who want to attend the season opener could save money by simply buying an Oklahoma State season ticket. Georgia fans who want to purchase tickets out of the Bulldogs’ allotment for the game would have to pay over $4,000 to have that right, while a season ticket at Oklahoma State costs $479.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a minimum $4,000 lifetime contribution to the Georgia Athletic Association is required to get tickets through UGA. Georgia fills ticket orders on the basis of prospective buyers’ cumulative lifetime contributions, starting with the highest and continuing until the tickets are sold out.
