Forty years after Uwe von Schamann split the uprights, Oklahoma will return to Ohio Stadium.

OU and Ohio State are scheduled to play a home-and-home, beginning in 2016 with the Buckeyes coming to Norman.

The Sooners will return the trip in 2017.

The two storied programs have only met twice in history.

OU defeated the Buckeyes 29-28 in 1977, thanks to von Schamann's game-winning 41-yard field goal. Ohio State, however, returned the favor by beating the Sooners 24-14 in Norman in 1983.
