STILLWATER — Oklahoma State set a school record for season ticket sales on Thursday morning, surpassing the 40,000 mark in tickets sold. It is the second straight year the Cowboys' football program has set a record for season-ticket sales.

OSU has sold more than 32,300 general public season tickets and 7,800 student season tickets just four days into the fall semester. Last year, the Cowboys sold 29,993 general public tickets, and the school expects to equal, if not exceed, last year's record of 10,000 student tickets sold.

Excitement about Travis Ford's men's basketball program also continues to increase with OSU selling more than 3,200 student combo tickets, as of Thursday morning. The combo package, which costs $330, includes season tickets to both football and basketball games. Last year, OSU sold 1,643 student season tickets for men's basketball.

In addition, the OSU POSSE, the fundraising arm of the athletic department, has an all-time high of 9,200 members.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.okstate.com or by calling (877) 255-4678.
