CHARGES FILED IN MAN’S DEATH
A second-degree murder charge has been filed against a man accused in the May 15 beating death of another man in Tulsa. Court records show that Everett Gillum, 24, is accused in the death of Marcus Jones, 51. Police said the men argued about money at an apartment before Jones was killed. Prosecutors allege that Gillum punched Jones several times, causing fatal injuries. Police said Gillum was arrested Thursday.

PETS RESCUED FROM HOME
Animal control officers rescued dozens of pets from a house whose owner now faces an animal-cruelty complaint. Police records show Corrina Lenius, 36, is accused of keeping 25 cats, two parakeets and a dog in a dilapidated house. Police said some cats were kept in cages containing about 4 inches of feces. Veterinarians are hoping to nurse the animals to health and find

proper owners.

TESTIMONIES DIFFER IN CASE
Witnesses in the trial of a man accused of killing Cori Baker, 13, said DNA and dental comparisons show remains found in Creek County belong to her. But Dr. Andrew Sibley, a forensic pathologist, listed the manner of death as unknown and the probable cause of death as undetermined.
