OSU is waiting for a playmaker on offense
STILLWATER — The search continues.
Oklahoma State defeated Rice 41-24 at
Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday. But Saturday’s win showed, without a doubt, the Oklahoma State offense is still looking to regain its 2008 form.

Oklahoma State's Dez Bryant, Perrish Cox 'all-or-nothing' on special teams
09/20/2009 Bryant, Cox ‘all-or-nothing’ Oklahoma State’s special teams were ranked No. 1 nationally by The Sporting News in its preseason publication....
Sure, Dez Bryant is approaching his ’08 exploits. The junior All-American had nine catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns. And Zac Robinson was solid, going 14 of 20 for 227 yards and two touchdowns.
But OSU is still looking for other players to emerge as weapons in the Cowboy offense.
"We have confidence in those other guys,” Gundy said. "It’s just depends on the scheme (we have) and what’s going on.”
The Cowboy coaching staff is confident Justin Blackmon, Josh Cooper and OSU’s young receivers will mature into playmakers, but against Rice only Bryant had more than two receptions.
Blackmon, who the Cowboys are counting on to become a weapon this season, was limited by an undisclosed injury.
