Q&A with MMA heavweight, former OSU wrestler Daniel Cormier

Jenni Carlson: You made your MMA debut last week, so I have to ask — what have you been up to these past few months?

Daniel Cormier: I was just hanging out and working. I went and worked at a TV station in Stillwater. I was actually account manager for commercial accounts, selling ad space and everything. I started to feel like I wanted to do some competitive stuff again. I called DeWayne Zinkin, probably the best manager in MMA. He manages Chuck Lidell, Forrest Griffin … all kind of really good guys, and he had been trying to get me since right after I graduated college.
