But Oklahoma middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds had a strong outing Saturday at the site that ended his 2008 season.

During last season's Red River Shootout, Reynolds tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, his third major collegiate knee injury.

But Reynolds was able to return before the start of this season and had one of his best games of the year against Texas.

Reynolds finished the day with seven tackles, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery coming on Texas' third play from scrimmage.

"It was great. Being hurt last year, it was nice to be able to play," Reynolds said. "Great atmosphere. Fun game.

"Couple plays here or there, and it's a different outcome."

Despite being a senior, Reynolds may get another shot at the 'Horns next season. Reynolds is currently petitioning the NCAA for a medical hardship, which would give him a sixth season of eligibility.
