Returns: D
Dom Franks had another long punt return, a 30-yarder, but also foolishly muffed a bouncing punt that led to a Texas field goal, and Mossis Madu fumbled away the ensuing kickoff. Madu's four other kickoff returns averaged just 18.3 yards.

Landry Jones: C
Jones has played valiantly in relief of Sam Bradford, but he was just so-so against Texas, completing 24 of 43 for 250 yards, but with two interceptions.
Field appearance: C
The Cotton Bowl went old school, with no 50-yard line logo. The old cotton ball is trademarked by the Cotton Bowl Classic, which this season moves to JerryWorld in Arlington. So OU-Texas played on 100 yards of nothing but green grass and white chalk.
Pass defense: A
Colt McCoy, a 70.6-percent career passer, completed just 21 of 39, with a long of 14 yards. The rush was constant, the coverage superb. Brian Jackson had an interception, and Texas star Jordan Shipley had just four catches for 36 yards.
Punctuality: C
Texas fans, notorious latecomers to the game, mostly matched OU in early arrivals. But just before kickoff, thousands of fans from both sides still were trying to get into the stadium.
Fourth-down decisions: A
Bob Stoops let the 2008 OU-Texas get away with a late punt on 4th-and-3. Saturday, Stoops didn't make the same mistake. Twice on 4th-and-1 in the fourth quarter, Stoops ordered his offense to stay on the field. Texas stuffed Chris Brown for no gain on the first try at the OU 49-yard line, but Landry Jones sneaked for four yards on the latter at the OU 39.
