Kansas State at OU
→Location: Manhattan, Kan.
→Conference: Big 12
→Record: 5-3 overall, 3-1 Big 12
→Last game: Daniel Thomas ran for 145 yards and a touchdown, and Emmanuel Lamur had two interceptions to lead Kansas State to a 20-6 win over Colorado to keep the Wildcats atop the Big 12 North standings.
→Best player: Thomas, a juco transfer, has been as good as any running back in the league. He leads the Big 12 with 814 rushing yards and nine rushing scores.
→Why they could win: Lately, the Wildcats have been taking care of the ball and running on everyone. That combination could be troublesome, even against OU’s defense, if it continues.
→Why they could lose: Wins over Iowa State, Texas A&M and Colorado were nice. But K-State is yet to defeat anyone of much substance. Plus, OU’s defense has shut down opponents with better offenses than K-State the last two weeks.
