That number is down from August’s 6.1 percent, the country’s second lowest rate.

Oklahoma Employment Security Commission data showed Tulsa metro’s rate remained at 7 percent, unchanged from August, and the Lawton area’s rate was down to 5.1 percent from 5.2 percent.

Oklahoma County’s jobless rate last month was 6.1 percent; Tulsa County’s was 6.
