Kohl’s donates to road safety

Kohl’s department stores donated $120,126 for road safety and community outreach programs run by The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.

Children’s Hospital Volunteers kicked off the Kohl’s Raising Oklahomans’ Awareness of Danger (ROAD) campaign Tuesday with a safety assembly at Tinker Elementary School and a bicycle helmet giveaway to students.

Other programs to be sponsored by the Kohl’s ROAD campaign include plans for a permanent car seat inspection station at The Children’s Hospital, numerous bicycle rodeos and educational days at metro-area elementary schools, and training opportunities for health care professionals. Over the past six years, the company has donated nearly $650,000 to The Children’s Hospital.
