Shepherd Mall caught stores leaving downtown, as the retail sea changed, when it opened in 1964.

The mall caught federal agencies looking for office space in 1995 after the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing — just as the mall’s owners were converting it to office use.

This week, Shepherd Mall Office Complex, as it is now known, caught a break.
