Saturday night, running back DeMarco Murray supplied plenty of big plays both ways, igniting the Sooners to a 65-10 rout of Texas A&M before 85,013 at Owen Field.
Murray finished with 80 rushing yards on 18 carries, and 143 receiving yards on five catches, moving Murray into a tie with Adrian Peterson for sixth on the school's all-time career touchdown list with 42.
Showcasing his balance, Murray scored his first touchdown with power, and his second with finesse.
The first came late in the second quarter, when Murray caught a pass wide open down the sideline with only one Aggie to beat. Instead of making a move, Murray lowered his shoulder pads and bounced off the defender into the end zone for a 36-yard touchdown.
His second score came with more dazzle.
After snagging a swing pass from quarterback Landry Jones, Murray made two Aggies whiff around midfield, then cut across the turf into the open field before gliding in for a 67-yard touchdown.
