The small car in big demand: Tata Motors of India is increasing its focus on inexpensive motoring, announcing it will be boosting production of its Nano by 25 percent to keep up with growing demand for the ultra-cheap car, which currently sells at a rate of 2,500 units per month in India. Tata wants to build and sell 4,000 Nanos a month by the middle of next year and might even take that number to 6,000 once more markets, including the United States and Canada, are in the mix for the pint-sized car. The Nano sells for the equivalent of about $2,500 in India, but there's no word on what it will cost here.
