‘Goddess’ Julianne Hough uses mix of high and low priced cosemetics

Who knew pint-size-dancer-turned-country-songstress Julianne Hough and I would have something in common? Turns out we both love L’Oreal Voluminous waterproof mascara. It’s not much of a connection, but I find it interesting when those who can drop big bucks on beauty products opt for my drugstore favorites.

She also uses Armani foundation, selling for about $60 a bottle, so it’s not as if she can thank Maybelline or CoverGirl for that flawless complexion. It shows she’s like most of us, who mix higher- and lower-priced items in beauty.

Hough is the co-author of Gillette’s online "Goddess Guide to Getting Closer.” She said the tips are fun and not too serious, such as putting on heels and doing squats and lunges to work different leg muscles. Her favorite tip is for women to be confident. "Being a goddess is being confident with who you are and loving yourself.
