It’s easy to be impressed by Heritage Hall’s sophomore class. In fact, when seniors Travis Harrison and Logan McGrath started to rattle off all the talented sophomores on the team, they began laughing at just how many there actually are.
Yeah, that group is something special. Whether it’s on offense or defense, names like Barry Sanders, Sterling Shepard and Marc Robinson always seem to pop up when a big play is made. But for all the talk about how good that class is, it’s Harrison and McGrath that are among the anchors of the defense. And it’s the defense that’s been consistent all season. "We do sometimes feel like we’re forgotten,” Harrison said of the Chargers’ senior group. Heritage only has six seniors on this year’s team, a year removed from one of the most senior-laden squads coach Andy Bogert has ever had. That doesn’t mean they haven’t produced, and that doesn’t mean that they aren’t the leaders of the team. "Logan is about as steady as they come. He solidifies the left side,” Bogert said. "And Travis is so quick to the ball.” This year’s senior class isn’t as outspoken as last year’s club. Instead, they lead more by example than anything else. McGrath has more than 120 tackles and 10 sacks, while Harrison is third on the team with more than 80 stops.
