Animal lovers can share the holiday spirit with dogs and cats in local animal shelters by donating food, toys and treats through Best Friends Pet Care’s 9th annual Angel Tree campaign.

Until the end of December, animal lovers can choose a paper stocking from the Angel Tree in the lobby of Best Friends Pet Care, 13517 Railway Drive. Each stocking lists information about a homeless pet, along with details of the food or supplies needed by the shelter where it’s staying.

To raise additional funds for the program, Best Friends is hosting a bake sale Dec. 21-28. For more information, go online to www.bestfriendspetcare.com or call 751-1944.
