Nick Collison

Grade: B+.

Comment: Collison finally put it all together in December after nagging injuries sabotaged his early season performances. He averaged 7.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 15 games, but as usual for Collison, the numbers don’t tell the entire story of how effective he was.

Kevin Durant

Grade: A-

Comment: December 2009 will be remembered as the month Durant fully blossomed into an elite scorer. Durant averaged 29.7 points in 15 games, shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from 3. But his 4.1 turnovers in the month can’t go overlooked.

Jeff Green

Grade: B+

Comment: By increasing his consistency in December, Green played a huge role in the Thunder’s 9-6 record. Aside from a handful of poor shooting nights, Green has been steady across the board.

James Harden

Grade: A.

Comment: The rookie assembled his best month yet, with a 10.5-point average and a 4.1-rebound average. But December is when Harden established himself as a quality playmaker at the off guard position.

Serge Ibaka

Grade: B+

Comment: A near dominant five-game stretch in mid-December was enough to make the month wildly successful. But Ibaka’s inconsistency at home vs. his production on the road was glaring. So, too, was his 2-for-8 free-throw shooting.
